Interior design. A distinctive and inspiring project.
The starting point for this interior design project was a contact made during the construction of the house. For most interior designers, this is one of the best phases for intervening in spaces, as it is possible to think of the interiors as an integral part of the structure of the house.
It is also possible to define some different lighting points, such as wall lights, pendant lights and table lamps. Each adapted to the space and purpose of each room.
Another great advantage is the possibility of selecting the materials and finishes between the more structural elements and all the furniture. As well as the color of all the carpentry (doors, trims and skirting boards) in the room, which in this case was designed to match the furniture.

Interior design with balance and uniformity
The client approached us looking for a uniform and balanced space throughout the house, keeping the environments simple, adapted to everyday practicality, but with a few differentiating details.
As a first step, Vangor’s teams of interior designers went to the house to keep abreast of the progress of the work and to carry out a metric and photographic survey of the space.
It’s on this first visit that our teams talk to the client and brief them on the whole project, including the budget they are planning and willing to invest in the new space.
As essential and differentiating elements, we highlight the assertiveness in the design phase and the detailed budgeting that we present to the client, which are crucial for the good result that is sought.
We went on to draw up a personalized project, using 3D images. This was followed by presenting the proposal to the client and adjusting some of the details in order to meet their expectations and achieve their total satisfaction.
At this same meeting, our teams also present physical samples (wallpapers, fabrics and finishes) to help visualize the space. It is important for the client to feel that they are part of the whole process and that they are fully aware of every step that is taken.
At this stage, we are also able to present a more generalized budget for the proposal submitted, although this may change as a result of changes to the project.
Once the design and quotation phase was complete, our teams of interior designers began the ordering and rectification of measurements for production, validating with the client all the items to be ordered.
Finally, there was the last phase of the project – the delivery and assembly of all the material supplied.
In this phase, as in all the others, our teams of interior designers are present throughout the process, both during delivery and assembly, to ensure that everything is as planned and that the client is satisfied with the work done.

Interior design: practicality and refinement
In this interior design project, we used a neutral base to create a welcoming and simple environment, just as we wanted. We opted for elements that stand out through the decoration, as they can be replaced later.
The use of gold elements and carrara marble gave the project a more refined feel, but without ever losing comfort and everyday practicality. Bolder patterns were subtly applied to cushions and puffs. All the furniture had the same base color and with these standout details we were able to differentiate them.
In the master suite, it was important to have a differentiating element and so we opted for pendant lighting. In the guest bedroom we opted for a more conventional style and placed table lamps with an irreverent design that stands out.
As for the downstairs bedroom, we thought of a more versatile solution. The room is prepared to accommodate both couples and children and was achieved by choosing single beds, which can be put together and function as a double bed. In this type of solution and with a single headboard, we proposed a solution of wall lights so that there would be no need to change the lighting whenever the layout of the beds had to be altered.
Smart spaces with Vangor’s Interior Design Service
In the social area, the client’s requirement was to have a large space with a large table and sofa to receive his friends and family. The choice of the oval table was essential to make it the highlight of this space and to bring everyone together at the table. The choice of material was another highlight, (carrara marble) matching the kitchen worktops. As the space is open to the kitchen and living room, the well-known openspace would make perfect sense, as it establishes harmony between them.
The living and dining areas are united by the same colors, patterns and finishes. The pattern used on the cushions is used on the backs of the armchairs and the chairs at the top of the dining table, while neutral tones are used in the rest of the room.
The mirrors with gold rims create harmony throughout the room and give away the luxurious and prominent feel.
Another element of uniformity in the room was the choice of curtains, with the same fabric and the same color, which also gives us the perception of greater spaciousness due to the entry of light through the translucent fabric and the placement of the curtain from wall to wall.
It is also with the choice of rugs that we are able to define the areas well and make the space even larger by choosing light tones.
The choice of decorative pieces was also suggested by Vangor, and through these elements we once again reinforced the harmony between the spaces, with the continuity of the gold and marble elements. The end result was surprising and gave the whole house a new lease of life, making it more livable, brighter and with clearly superior comfort!
